Jumpstart July 4-5 2011 winter holiday programme

Learners from Ocean View, Masiphumelele and Fish Hoek High Schools came together at the
Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation Youth Centre in the winter holiday to get to know each other,
learn carnival arts and have fun…
They learned eMzantsi principles
and shared their own.
They explored different carnival arts:
percussion with Janis,
gumboots with Khanyiselo,
and on day two
dance with Ronaldo,
and recycled costume-making with Emmanuel and Cath from mapiko
They performed for each other

then put it all together

and made up their own eMzantsi Goes Bos adverts!
